Aegean 2025 proved to be a standout sporting celebration, welcoming close to 800 student-athletes from 15 schools representing Thessaloniki, Larissa, and Athens. Across three action-packed days, from December 4th to December 7th, 57 teams competed in 81 matches in boys’ and girls’ volleyball, basketball, and soccer, delivering thrilling contests, fierce rivalries, and an impressive standard of play.
Outstanding results highlighted the tournament, with the Girls’ Volleyball and Boys’ Soccer teams claiming 1st place after hard-fought finals against the American Farm School and Athens College, proudly bringing the Cup back home. The Girls’ Soccer team also impressed, finishing in 2nd place following a demanding final against Campion, showcasing determination, skill, and exceptional teamwork. One of the most memorable moments unfolded in a sold-out William McGrew Sports Center, where the Boys’ Basketball team engaged in a dramatic, point-by-point battle against Athens College, narrowly concluding the game with a thrilling four-point margin.
Individual excellence was equally celebrated, as Anatolia athletes earned top honors for their performances. Charalampos Balodimos was named MVP in Boys’ Basketball, while Dimitrios Ntziachristos received the MVP award in Boys’ Soccer, both recognized for their leadership and impact on the game. On the girls’ side, Erifylli Anna Valouka (Girls’ Volleyball) and Angeliki Tzetzi (Girls’ Soccer) were awarded MVP titles, playing key roles in their teams’ success.
The success of Aegean 2025 would not have been possible without the dedication of our coaches, the outstanding Physical Education department, the enthusiasm of our supporters, and the invaluable contribution of our volunteers, who worked tirelessly throughout the event. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this tournament such a memorable experience.
